Remember What We Are Up Against

Many people seem to believe the battle to save the natural beauty of Point Reyes is a battle against the ranchers.  The reality is that the park staff are simply an extension of the ranchers.
One of many disturbing quotes from Melanie Gunn, this one says it all.  This was taken from a multi-hour interview I conducted with her in 2021.  The longer version of her statement was that even if the fence came down and the ranchers were gone they would still kill the elk.
